Cross Country Takes 1st at McDonough Invitational

The Benedictine Cross Country Team took 1st place with 81 points Saturday in the Blue Division at the McDonough Cross Country Invitational in Forest Hill Park. Anthony Sweet was all by himself the second half of the race and finished 1st in 17:12; Will March moved up from 7th to 5th in the last mile and turned an 82-82 loss at the two-mile mark into an 81-83 win at the end, while running 18:22. Other top runners were Ryan Plisko in 17th [19:26], Ian LaForest in 18th [19:35], Kristopher Mallett in 40th [20:40], Jack Kane in 43rd [20:52], and John Poston in 44th [20:54].
