Multiple Teams · Varsity Baseball splits games with Padua

The baseball team split games with the Padua Bruins the last two days.

On Wednesday afternoon the Varsity baseball team lost to Padua Franciscan in a NCL match-up.  Tom Hongosh, Jack Williams & Ben Keiper each had 2 hits.  Collin Pecoraro started the game on the mound. He threw 5 innings and struck out 8 Bruin batters.

The Varsity Baseball team defeated Padua Franciscan 6-3 on Thursday afternoon.  Senior Robbie Cramer pitched 6 innings, scattering 5 hits & striking out 5 for the win. Junior Mark Flachbart entered the game w/1 out and runners on 1st & 2nd ( bottom of the 7th ).  Flachbart faced one batter – who grounded into a game ending double-play. Flachbart recorded his first Varsity career save.

Soph. Austin Gordon had 2 hits and 2 RBI.  Junior Ben Keiper had a double and drove in 2 runs.
