Another Bengal Baseball Youth Camp Success!

The Benedictine Bengals baseball coaching staff and players put on another excellent youth camp this past Sunday. The camp featured drills such as fielding, proper throwing mechanics, hitting, and base running. This marked the 14th annual Baseball Youth Camp held at Trueman Memorial Fieldhouse.

Meinecke Places 6th at State Championships!

Congratulations to Senior, Logan Meinecke, on a successful season and his 6th place finish at the OHSAA State Championships. Logan competed in Columbus this past weekend and bowled games of 224, 254, and 164. Logan’s 254 second game was the top performance of the entire tournament.

Bengals Fall to St. Ignatius, 54-51.

In a hard fought battle, the Bengals lost to St. Ignatius 54-51. Freshman Marlon Moore and Sophomore Justin Layne paced the Bengals offensively with 20 and 15 points, respectively.

Bengal Bowlers Win Sectionals!

The Varsity Bowling Team put on a fine performance coming in first and winning the Northeast Sectional OHSAA Tournament. The Bengals will Advance to the District Championships on Saturday, February 22 at 12PM at Riviera Lanes in Akron. Congratulations and Good Luck!

2 Bengal Relays Advance to States!

Two Bengal Swimming Relay units will compete in this weekend’s Swimming State Championships. Swim Team Advances to Districts!

Bengals Fall to Lake Catholic, 81-73

The Bengals were defeated 81-73 by Lake Catholic’s strong guard play. The #25 Cougars were led by Zavier Power’s 29 points. Sophomore, Justin Layne, led all Bengals with 23 points. The Bengals return to action on Friday, February 14 vs. Walsh Jesuit at Trueman Memorial Fieldhouse.

Two Bengals Sign N.L.I.’s

Congratulations goes out to two Bengal seniors who signed their National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers. Matt Merimee, Senior WR/DB, 6-3, 188 — Miami University (OH) This Miami (Ohio) bound senior had a team-leading 32 catches for 628 yards (16.1 ave.) and six touchdowns. Matt was a two-year starter at both positions, but

Hockey Falls to Avon 2-0

The Bengals Hockey Team was defeated by Avon 2-0 in the first round of the Baron Cup II Tournament. Joe Houser led the Bengals with 36 saves. Hockey Splits Games over weekend

The Bengal Hockey team split their two contests over the weekend. The Bengals were defeated on Saturday night by Cleveland Heights, 7-2.
