Hockey Splits Games over weekend

The Bengal Hockey team split their two contests over the weekend. The Bengals were defeated on Saturday night by Cleveland Heights, 7-2. Swimming finishes Runner-Up at Conference Championships

The Swim team finished up 2nd in the conference at the NCL Championships held Saturday, February 1, at Lakewood Pool. Results from the meet can be found below: How they finished: 1. Swim Team Defeats Padua and West Geagua

The swimming team kept on their winning ways by defeating Padua, 61-32  and West Geauga, 62-34. The swimmers will next compete on Saturday at 2PM at the North Coast League Championships. The event will take place at Lakewood Pool.

Benedictine Hockey vs. Mayfield @ Gilmour is Cancelled.

Due to inclement weather, the Benedictine hockey team’s game vs. Mayfield at Gilmour on January 28 at 5:30PM has been cancelled. This game will be made up on Sunday, Feb. 2 at 8:30AM at Gilmour Academy.  

Bengal Hockey: 2-0 Over the Weekend

The Bengal Hockey team had a very good weekend with wins over CVCA and NDCL. The Bengals will next compete on Tuesday night at 5:30 vs. Mayfield at Gilmour Academy. Basketball Splits Games Over Weekend

The Bengals split their contests over the weekend by defeating Padua on Friday and falling to St. Edward on Saturday. Jordan Philpotts and Justin Layne paced the Bengals both nights with 20 and 14 points, respectively. The Bengals return to action on Friday night vs. NDCL at Benedictine’s Trueman Memorial Field house.    

Beltavski selected as Student-Athlete of Month

The Athletic Ambassadors Club would like to present TJ Beltavski with the Student Athlete of the Month award for the month of December.  TJ is the starting center on the varsity football team.  Off the field, TJ is an honors student with over a 4.0 GPA. He is also a dean in the priory system. 

Freshmen Basketball vs. NDCL Cancelled

The Freshmen Basketball game vs. NDCL on Thursday, January 23 at 5:00PM has been cancelled due to inclement weather. Please stay tuned for a potential make-up game.    

Swimmers Remain Undefeated

The swim team won again against Western Reserve Academy yesterday – Benedictine 101 vs. WRA 69. Basketball Comes Up Short vs. Pickerington Central

The Varsity Basketball team came up short on Saturday night losing 97-89. The Bengals played a great second half, but wasn’t enough against the highly touted Tigers. Justine Layne scored 24 points to pace Benedictine. Jordan Philpotts tallied 18 for the Bengals and Marc Pope chipped in with 14.
