Two Bengals place at States

Over the weekend at the OHSAA State Tournament, Benedictine Wrestlers finished thier season with two state placers: Devion Coffin '26 finished 7th in DII at 132 lbs and John Paul Hatgas '27 finished 8th at 126 lbs. Devion Coffin finishes his Benedictine career with a big win to secure his spot in the State of Ohio and in the record books of Benedictine High School.
Hatgas and Coffin were there with teammates Shepard Charlton '26 and John Jones '26, both of whom won matches in Columbus and helped earn a team total of 18 points, putting them in the top half of teams in DII. They were supported by wrestling teammates as well.
Congratulations to these accomplished student athletes-it's a real achievement to reach the Wrestling State Tournament and extremely impressive to make it to Sunday. Congratulations as well to Head Coach Terrence Cheeks and Coach Jordyn Johnson. Well done, Men of Benedictine!
